Placement Mentoring:
Mentoring is available for second years seek a placement, and for those looking for support whilst they are out on their placement. The majority of students complete a placement in their third year, greatly enhancing their graduate employability.
We've developed a Placement Mentoring scheme to provide you with an extra level of support and during this invaluable experience. you will be matched to a mentor who has undertaken a placement in the field that you are interested in. Your mentor will be a third year currently out on placement who will mentor you via e-mail, or possibly a final year who has previously completed a placement if we have any available.
Students who are out on placement can also choose to have a Final Year Mentor from their degree subject, to give them an insight into the final year of study. help them prepare for the transition from work back to student life, and enable them to keep in touch with the news from campus.
We match second years all year round so don't worry if it takes you a little longer to find a placement, this is very common and we'll still be able to match you up with a mentor right up to the end of your second year of study. Final Year Students are also able to take part in our placement Mentoring programme - and benefit from being matched to a recent Diploma pass outs.
